Quality has long been described as the competitive edge in business. However, healthcare has struggled to transform its clinical quality and safety profiles into service production efficiency and effectiveness. The goal for this day-long seminar is to identify the aspects of quality, safety and accountability that bridge the space between clinical appropriateness, patient/ social expectations, and the marketing of better services. The day is organized into two segments: in the morning measurement strategies will be discussed building on Dr. Kazandjian's more than 25 years of international and US experience on designing healthcare quality improvement models. The goal of the morning session is to build consensus amont the participants on how quality can support both clinical and business strategies in healthcare.
